Hualian Costa(Beijing) Catering Management Co., Ltd.

      On November 14th, 2007, Beijing Hualian Group signed a joint venture agreement with COSTA, a well-known UK-based company. The parties jointly established Hualian Costa (Beijing) Catering Management Co., Ltd. The joint venture was licensed to operate COSTA coffee. The agreement covers a planned opening of 300 COSTA stores in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, North East China and other regions in the next few years.
      COSTA is a large coffee retailer in UK. It has more than 30 years experience in coffee operation. COSTA has 900 coffee stores, among which 640 are in UK and 260 are in Europe, Middle East and other regions.

      Beijing Hualian Fauchon Commercial Co., Ltd.

      In 2006, the European luxury food store Fauchon signed an agreement with the Beijing Hualian group. The parties jointly established Beijing Hualian Fauchon Commercial Co., Ltd. The first flagship store is located in Shin Kong Place, a high-end shopping mall in the luxurious CBD area of Chang’an East Street. The flagship store mainly provides french food, wine, coffee and tea under the 120-year old FAUCHON brand name. The Fauchon flagship store also offers a wide range of breads, cakes and chocolates, as well as a high-end French Café.
      Fauchon’s headquarters, located in the Place de la Medeleine in Paris, France, has more than 120 years of history. Fauchon was founded by Auguste Fauchon in 1886. Now, the Fauchon name stands for authority, quality and innovation in luxury food. Fauchon has over 650 stores in 33 countries around the world, contributing 1.6 billion Euro sales each year. Fauchon is a world class luxury grocery store, offering 17,000 goods, such as cakes, pastries, jams, teas, fruits, vegetable etc. For tourists, Fauchon has been regarded as a window to explore French elegant sweets and pastry.

      The Closed Cooperation with Singapore Capital Land Commerce Co.,

      On Jan.4th, 2005, Beijing Hualian Group signed a cooperation agreement with Capital Land Commercial Co., a sub-company of Singapore Capital Land Group. The parties agreed to jointly develop and manage shopping centers, including signed agreements for Beijing Anzhen, Wangjing, Xizhimen, and Huhehaote Shopping Center in Inner-Mongolia. The Beijing Hualian Group has been a key partner for Capital Land invests in the China mainland. The parties’ cooperation has attracted significant attention and support from the Singapore Government. Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng personally attended the opening ceremony of the Xizhimen Capital Land Mall.

      Hualian Shin Kong (Beijing) Co.,Ltd.

      In April 2007, jointly with Taiwan Shikong Mitsukoshi, the Beijing Hualian Group, with a grand celebration, opened the high-end luxury shopping mall, Shin Kong Place. It is the largest high-end department store in the China mainland, with more than 1000 international brands. Shin Kong Place delivers the exciting and timely selection of global luxury brands just as you would find in New York, Paris and other world fashion cities.

      Cooperation with other important international partners

      1、For many years, the Beijing Hualian Group has developed close relationships with many international well-known companies and brand suppliers. These relationships are founded on key principles of joint development, win-win, information and experience sharing. This includes many research partnerships including P&G, Unilever, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, and McKinsey. We share information continuously, which adds to the fast and continual development of the core competitive capability of Beijing Hualian Group.

Beijing Hualian sponsored the translation of retried CEO of P&G, Mr. John Pepper’s book, What Really Matters This included a launch ceremony in Beijing.

      2、Since 2003, taking advantage of our international partners’ merchandise resources, Beijing Hualian Group held several international merchandise festivals in our stores. For example, Beijing Hualian sponsored an Australian Festival, an Indian Festival, a Thai Festival, a South African Festival and finally a Spanish Festival. All these festivals have been very successful, and obtained very positive responses from our customers. Since 2001, Beijing Hualian Group started to source agriculture products from Taiwan, which gave Beijing Hualian Group the distinction as the first mainland retailer selling Taiwanese agricultural products.
      3、With its continuous innovations and its retail power, Beijing Hualian Group has been selected as the only Chinese member of the International Association of Department Stores (IADS).
      4、Together with our partners, the Beijing Hualian Group has been actively involved in social commonwealth activities. For example, on April 10th, 2008, together with P&G, the Beijing Hualian Group held a donation ceremony to finance Tunlin Beijing Hualian-P&G Hope Primary School in Baiji, Yongning District, Nanning to renovate Teaching & Catering Buildings for the school. The result will be improved learning conditions for needy students.
